10/03/22 Help us win a canopy Ysgol Gynradd Llandegfan have entered a competition to win a canopy worth £15,000 from A&S Landscape, a supplier of school dining shelters. If we won this prize, the canopy would allow our pupils to develop skills to coincide with our new curriculum here in Wales which places great emphasis on the ability to learn outdoors and provide local relevant experiences that enhance the learning provision. It’s competition time at Ysgol Gynradd Llandegfan as we are in with the chance of winning a canopy! A&S Landscape, a supplier of covered walkways, is awarding a shade sail to one lucky school. The winner of this competition will be the school will the most votes so please help us to win! You can click here to vote for our school. Even before COVID having a sheltered area to learn and play would enhance on the provision we would be able to give our pupils in order to learn using the outdoor area. Following on from COVID and Welsh Government guidance to work outdoors as much as possible, this would ensure we would be able to take more pupils out in all weathers dur to the shade. |

22/12/17 Last Day Of The Term Here we are at the end of our Winter Term. It has been a very busy term full of different activities. We hope Father Christmas will have been generous with you all and we look forward to welcoming you all back following the holidays on January the 8th. |
15/12/17 – Christmas Dinner and party Today we had our Christmas dinner. A massive thank you to the dinner staff for preparing such a wonderful meal. After filling our bellies – we went to play some traditional games to get into the spirit of Christmas. |
14/12/17 – Peter Pan Panto As a treat following the brilliant Christmas services – we took the pupils to see Peter Pan in Venue Cymru. The pupils had a fabulous time and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. |
13/12/17 – Christmas Service We had two exceptional Christmas services at Capel Barachia this year. The infants in the afternoon and the Juniors at night. We had to different presentations on the true meaning of Christmas. We thank everybody for their generosity in the collection as every penny raised went to the chapel. |
8/12/17 – Christmas Fair A Christmas fair was held here in the school hall. It was full of people all enjoying the Christmas spirit. It was a pleasure to see past pupils also taking part and preparing their own stalls. During the night we held our official turning on of the Christmas lights assisted by our choir. We thank Evans Bros also for contributing such a large Christmas tree for a very reasonable price. It was nice to see the community spirit at its greatest. |
6/12/17 – Urdd Carol Service We had a magical evening in the catchment with all schools meeting to sing their favourite Christmas carols. The audience had thoroughly enjoyed and we here at Llandegfan are proud of our choir. |
5/12/17 – Miss Jones’s Sesnses trip Year 1 pupils were taken on a senses filled trip to Beaumaris to see some local businesses. They visited Castle Bakery, Alton Murphy and a traditional sweet shop whilst learning about their senses. We owe a big thank you to all these businesses for being so wonderful with the pupils. |
1/12/17 – The school choir supporting the Magee Brothers Our school choir sang in the village hall, sharing a stage with the Magee Brothers. This was a truly magical night with the village hall full to the brim and promoting our Welsh heritage. |
14/11/17 – Type Onesie Thank you to everybody who supported our Type Onesie day. It was a day in order to raise awareness of Diabetes. During the day, pupils wore onesies along with receiving information about diabetes. A grand total of £360 was raised. |
10/11/17 – Remembrance Day We had a full day of remembering those who have fought for our freedom. We had a school service along with Miss Stuart’s class visiting the village’s memorial. Here the pupils read poems written by themselves. We also thank the pupils and their families for their generosity in support of the Royal British Legion. |
20/10/17 – Bake Off Thank You very much to all that participated in the Bake Off competition organised by the Friends of the School. There was a hall full of cakes and £200 was raised for the fund. |
18/10/17 – Bronze Ambassadors Four pupils from Year 6 went on training to learn about their role as Bronze Sports Ambassadors for the school. They had a thoroughly enjoyable morning and came back brimming with new ideas. |
16/10/17 - Fire Service Thank You to the Fire Service for visiting on Friday to remind pupils on how to stay safe in their homes. |
